Family Photos Made Fun with Ali Wolfe Photography

I’m not going to lie. The thought of having family pictures taken stresses me out. As a mom of four young children, the idea of coordinating clothes, getting everyone to smile, and keeping us still to capture a picture seems impossible. My children can be a challenge. My youngest is 21 months. Need I say more? My four-year-old is painfully shy. In the presence of someone he doesn’t know, he will cling to my husband or me. Good luck getting him to smile. My six-year-old, God love him, gives us smiles that could easily be turned into memes.

When we scheduled our pictures with Ali Wolfe Photography, my husband made the comment that “she must be up for a challenge’. I told him she was incredibly brave. I saw her work and trusted she could work her magic with our family. As someone who grew up in the photography world, and studied it, herself, surely, Ali would have tricks up her sleeve. Ali also has two children, of her own. She gets it. The squirming, the running off, the goofy faces should all be familiar to her. (And how nice is it to know she won’t judge me for losing control of my children or throwing a threat their way?)

The beginning of our session went as I expected. Our youngest squirmed. The four-year-old looked down. My older two were being goofy. Ali immediately made me feel at ease and instead of stressing out over this, I found myself just going with the flow. Ali is warm, cheerful, and fun. She started dancing and making funny noises. At one point, she was pretending to eat the grass. My children loved her. They laughed. They danced with her. She had their attention. My shy child, immediately, warmed up to her and in no time, he was chatty.

My “behind the scenes” pictures of Ali working her magic with my kids!

We left our session, confident. We knew Ali would be giving us the best pictures to reflect our family at this crazy stage of life.

We received our proofs the next day and I was amazed. The quality was perfect. These were the type of pictures I have seen on social media and could only dream of… until now. In just a couple days, the images I selected were already edited and available. (Seriously, her turnaround time is unlike any other!) She captured the squirming, the candid moments, goofy smiles, and the behind the scenes moments.

She also captured us, sitting still, and all looking at her.
Miracles!

My expectations were exceeded. I highly recommend Ali Wolfe Photography. If you have any hesitations, at all, about quality family pictures, Ali is your person. (CMB Mom Tip: While you can’t put a price on memories, it also doesn’t hurt that Ali’s services are super reasonable, making them WELL worth the investment.) Plus, remember all those stressful details I was worried about, (what to wear and where to go), Ali has some great tips for both of those as well!

Originally from New England, my family moved to Pennsylvania before settling in the Cincinnati area. After my family moved away, I made my way across the river to Northern Kentucky, now my forever home. My husband Rusty and I have four children, Molly, Spencer, Rogan, and Emmett, as well as our two cats. I'm a registered nurse now doing the stay at home mom bit. I love raising my children in the Cincinnati area, where there is so much to offer. I'm a Skyline chili loving Reds fan who enjoys zoo trips, watching my children unleash at the children's museum, and finding peace watching airplanes at the CVG airplane viewing area. Coffee and humor get me through these crazy days with small children.
