CMB is thrilled to welcome our newest contributor, Jamie! As a brand new Cincinnati resident, she will have a fun perspective on the Queen City!
“Hi! I’m Jamie. My husband, daughter, dog and I just left our little beach town in New Jersey to move to Cincinnati. We had never been to Cincinnati before moving out here, so we are looking forward to learning about our new home and discovering all that it has to offer.
Before we moved, I was a high school English teacher and a real estate agent. I’ve taught in the Bronx, Queens, and NJ suburbs. I am passionate about education and providing opportunities for all children.
My husband and I have run two marathons, which is good because I love to eat! I’m a huge foodie and spent the weeks prepping for our move to Cincinnati researching not just neighborhoods, but also restaurants and markets! We love taking road trips, which is good, because we are now about ten hours away from our family. We’ve driven to Utah and Wyoming (the state, not the town!) to go snowboarding, and spent our honeymoon exploring the Southwest as we drove to the Grand Canyon.
My daughter will be one in May. Like her mom, she is a bundle of energy and can’t sit still! It’s a good thing I’ve already found a bunch of activities for us; Cincinnati really does have so much to offer. I can’t wait to explore the area, get involved, and share my experiences with you!”
