Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical

Polkadots follows 8-year-old Lily Polkadot who just moved to the “Squares Only” small town of Rockaway. As the first Polkadot in an all Square school, Lily faces an almost impossible task of gaining acceptance from her peers. From daily bullying, to segregated drinking fountains, Lily’s quest seems hopeless until she meets Sky, a shy Square boy whose curiosity for her unique polkadot skin blooms into an unexpected pal-ship. Inspired by Civil Rights pioneers Ruby Bridges and The Little Rock Nine, Polkadots serves as a colorful history lesson for the world, reminding us that our differences make us awesome, not outcasts.

Get a taste of spring at the 2018 Spring Show A Garden of Pure Imagination! The show room will be blossoming with the vivid colors of cherry, lemon, grape, orange, blue raspberry, and sour apple! This candy inspired exhibit will display vibrant tulips, cheerful daffodils, fluffy hydrangeas, and fragrant hyacinths that will dazzle your imagination with all the sweet flavors of spring! Lollipops, licorice, and gumdrops, oh my! Giant candy props sprinkle the landscape to make you feel as if you were in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory! Join us in a world of pure imagination and enjoy an early spring at Krohn Conservatory!

In awe with the beauty of the night sky? Have questions about the Universe? This is where you can get the answers. Astronomy Fridays include short presentations on a wide variety of topics and plenty of time for your astro questions. Tour of the Cincinnati Observatory, which as a National Historic Landmark played an important role in the history of Cincinnati and our nation. Once dark, we will view the Moon, planets and deep space treasures 


through the historic 1845 telescope. (The program is held rain or shine; telescope viewing if clear skies). The topics and the night sky change week-to-week/month-to-month so you can visit often to hear and see something new.

Looking for a little me time? Or some girlfriend time? Or maybe you have a little one who would love to play in the dirt and create something beautiful? There’s something for everyone happening at Delhi Flower & Garden Center this month. We’re loving the low-maintenance oasis garden of succulents, and the teacup fairy garden (adorable!) plus the variety of baskets with both flowers and herbs (for a living Easter basket – so sweet!). You make it, you take it, and you leave the mess – that’s our kind of fun!  Space is limited and registration is required. Or, swing by their potting bar any time they’re open to create your own container gardens on your own or with expert help!

Wump Mucket Puppets & Terrence Burke are known for a performance that is high energy, fun and appropriate for ages 3 – 10 and parents too! This lively performance features two new puppet skits featuring puppet stars Coleman the Sasquatch, Unka Unka, and Space Princess G’Wizzl visiting The Queen Bee, to learn how bees help us, and how we can help them. Bee Happy includes audience participation, a short dance break, and lots of puppet fun through the magic of live puppetry!

The artist Glenn Kaino turns magical illusions into art! We’ll be creating some illusions of our own with the help of a special magician from Cincinnati Circus. Join us as we experiment with invisible paint, construct large mosaics out of playing cards and design magic wands inspired by Kaino’s Wands Bygone series. The Mini Microcinema will be joining us with a collection of illusion inspired short films for children playing in the UnMuseum.

Autism Family Exploration Day
