As a new year begins, many of us resolve to do a whole number of things. Big goals, small goals and everything in between. One of the most popular resolutions is to just be healthier. So, with that in mind I want to share a super simple and small way to do something a little bit better for your family’s diet. This is not a huge change, but is a step to eating more consciously.
Several years ago I started making homemade seasonings instead of purchasing store bought. I personally think they taste better and I can control what goes in them. A major thing I feel I can better control is the salt in my seasonings. Store bought seasonings can be awfully salty. With homemade seasonings, I can make larger batches and then always have it on hand when I need it. It’s also pretty cost effective as most of what you need are things you can probably find in your spice cabinet already.
Here are two of my favorite seasoning recipes that I use the most often. I’d love to hear your favorite homemade seasoning recipes!
