Halloween Events 2017

We know, we know – it doesn’t seem possible that Halloween is already upon us! Dust off your witch hats, pack up those goblins, and get out there for a month full of spooktacular fun!

Jack O’Lantern Junction 

September 23 – October 31

You won’t want to miss Jack Halloween fun for the whole family! First walk-thru our trick or treat maze and see kid friendly ghosts, skeletons and more. Stop and color, or see Halloweenville our miniature animated display. Plus come and enjoy the area’s only indoor Pumpkin Patch, where kids get a free mini pumpkin. Also open this year are our two outdoor kid’s train rides themed for the Halloween season. And as always you can experience the world’s largest indoor train display or enjoy hours of fun in our kid’s play area.

Haunted Wagon Rides

Things are going to get a little scary around Young’s this fall! Our Haunted Wagon Ride and Scary Stories are designed for families with children. It will be scary! A responsible adult must accompany all children under age 11. This is a family fun activity that will help get you into the proper Halloween spirit!
PARENTS: We have designed this ride for families with children. We don’t touch, grab, or chase anyone, but we do try to make it scary and fun. The ride goes into a very dark cornfield where our ‘monsters and goblins’ live. There will be chainsaws (without the chains!), boo’s and other scary things going on.

Mt. Healthy Haunted Hall

The Great Pumpkin Fest

What’s something fun everyone can do together as a family this Halloween? At The Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Island, you’ll find lots of family-friendly fun, all in one place. Trick-or-treating, live shows, a pumpkin patch, hay bale maze, kids costume contest, a petting farm plus all of your favorite rides are all part of the fun.

Haunted Village

Heritage Village Museum will transform into Haunted Village for 6 nights of spooktacular fun! This is a family friendly, slight fright event loaded with ghostly attractions. Visitors can take a wagon ride through the Village, or take a stroll into the cemetery… if you dare. Ghouls, witches, and a mad scientist will entertain guests throughout the night.
Everyone is encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes and children can Trick or Treat throughout the Village. Face painting, balloon animal making and games will amuse children of all ages.

Trunk ‘R Treat Fall Festival

A classic car show, kids in costumes, music, games, prizes and candy combine for this annual event. Families and car enthusiasts stroll around the oval at Beech Acres Park while kids “trunk ‘r treat.”

Fabulous Fall Funday

Halloween is on its way—start the fun at Fabulous Fall Funday! Make an autumn decoration to take home, meet some live “spooky” animals from Great Parks of Hamilton County, become an art detective at the Art Cart, and, at 2 p.m., enjoy a performance of Madcap’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Madcap Puppets (ideal for kids in grades K–5).


Magic Halloween Hikes

Walk through a pumpkin-lit trail and meet costumed characters from nature and history. This is a non-scary holiday walk best suited for children ages 3-10. We request a ratio of one adult for every 4 children.

Haunted Halloween Trail

This haunted trail is a quarter mile of fright and drama (so best for ages 6 and older, but parents, use your best discretion). Horror lurks in the woods, including ghosts, goblins, witches and creatures ready to frighten all. Stay upon the torch lit trail and you might just survive.

Howling Pooch Parade

Local dogs and people participate in costume event. Dogs compete for prizes in categories including Best Costume, Best Dog Trick and Best Tail Wagger. Includes agility demonstrations, pet-themed vendors, refreshments and raffles.

Spooky Sunday

Costume parade starts at 3:45 p.m. at St. Pius parking lot to Presidents Park. Costume judging takes place on basketball court. Entrance to spooky forest after contest. Goody bags available while supplies last. Magic show by Beetle Juice follows. For children 12 and under.

    I teach an infant/toddler music and movement “mommy and me” class at Blue Cocoon. We will have a special Halloween themed class on Thursday, Oct. 26th at 10 a.m. Children are encouraged to wear a costume and will receive a Halloween gift. We will sing and dance to Halloween songs as well as favorite children’s songs. You can find more information on Blue Cocoon’s facebook page under events or on the store website!
