Easy Overnight Chia Oats with Fresh Berries

0

overnight oatsMornings are so hectic when you are getting yourself and tiny humans ready for the day, especially if you are trying to actually get somewhere on time. (What?!)

This overnight oats oatmeal is perfect, because you prep the night before, and it is ready to scoop and eat the next morning, no heating involved.

Ingredients:

1 cup rolled oats
1 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
4 tablespoons chia seeds
1 ripe banana, peeled and mashed (the riper, the better!)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl and place in fridge overnight.

The next morning, stir to mix together.

Place in serving bowls and top with:

Fresh Blueberries
Fresh Strawberries
a sprinkle of cocoa powder
coconut flakes
a drizzle of maple syrup
granola

We are not normally oatmeal fans, but my daughter (and I!) both gobbled this up. She was asking for more after we ate it all!
