New Year’s Eve Family Fun
Need an event where the kids can have fun but still be home at a reasonable hour? Here are our picks:
6:00 p.m. December 31st – 1:00 a.m. January 1st
Ring in the new year with Mix 94.9 and a night of dancing, food truck fare and fun games in the heart of the Queen City. You could also ice rink. Admission and rental fees apply.
5:00 – 9:00 p.m. December 31st
Closing out the Festival of Lights with a bang, this is the perfect event for families who want to have some fun, but still wind down long before the clock strikes midnight! Featuring meet and greets, Madcap Puppet shows and even fireworks–kids will love the excitement. Admission fees apply.
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. December 31st; Boarding 10:30 a.m.
Come aboard and ring in 2018….just not so late at night! Bring the whole family as we countdown to 2018 at 12:00 noon. Your cruise will be complete with all the party favors as well as a DJ for entertainment. There will be some great activities throughout the day for the kids as well as a tasty lunch buffet. Some of your favorite characters from our Pirate, Princess, and Super Hero cruises will be onboard celebrating with you! Ring in the new year in style without having to stay up to the wee hours of the night.
1 p.m. – 3 p.m. December 31st
Make waves with your family, and enjoy this swim party which features a balloon drop over the pool, crafts, food, and tons of pool time! Register at the link: tickets are $10/person.
12 p.m. – 12:05 p.m. December 30th
The Playroom, geared to newborns to 6 year olds, is open from 9am-2pm, and the balloon drop is included in the price of a play pass that day! There will also be a photo contest held, and the winner will receive 10 free play passes. Note that this event is not on New Year’s Eve, but the day before. Pay at the door. Play passes are $8 for kids 1 and up, and $6 for each additional child. Adults and babies under 1 are free.
11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. January 1st
Let your kids ages 2-11 get in on the holiday fun with crafts, dancing, music, and a countdown with a balloon drop at noon on New Year’s Eve day! Your kids will be well-rested, and still get to celebrate with you in style: a win for everyone involved. Register at the link: tickets are $7/child and accompanying adults are free.

Parents Only Night Out
While it’s fun to enjoy holiday activities with the kids too, sometimes it’s a great excuse to get a sitter and head out on a date! When it comes to adult events, you have many choices in Cincinnati. Here are a few picks for a great NYE.
8:00 p.m. December 31st
Spend an enchanting evening at Music Hall sipping cocktails and enjoying a performance by the symphony and the Pops, featuring vocalist Morgan James this year. Concert wraps up at 10:00 p.m. giving you ample time to find a place to watch the ball drop! See link for tickets.
9 p.m.-1 a.m. December 31st
We can’t think of many things more romantic than ringing in the New Year on the Ohio River with the Cincinnati skyline as a backdrop! The cruise includes dinner, entertainment, champagne, and even party favors. Get your tickets at the link.
7 p.m. December 31st
Dinner, drinks, and dancing the night away. This party sells out every year, so be sure to grab your tickets early! Various packages available.

For a hilarious take on New Year’s Eve, check out Drew Lynch live at the Funnybone Comedy Club in Newport on the Levee! Dinner is included with some options, or just come for the show, and be sure to stay for the champagne and televised ball drop at midnight. Ticket options available at the website.
