We all know those nights… the ones that are so few and far between after you become a parent. The ones that are just about you and your significant other. The ones where you have secured that elusive babysitter, get to put on some dressier clothes, go to a restaurant that doesn’t offer you crayons and where you get to eat your food while it’s still hot. Yep, I am talking about date night.
Date night is so very important to your relationship. It is time when you can reconnect with this person you love and who loves you back. It’s fun to remember that they make you laugh and that you find them interesting. It’s important to remember that you are more than just Mom and he is more than just Dad. After all, you two – together – are why those kids exist in the first place.
So, let’s talk about that.
If you are lucky, date night is that much needed break to ignite a spark in your relationship and hopefully after you head home and the babysitter is gone for the night, date night can continue. Intimacy is also so very important to your relationship. However, more often than not, sex becomes an afterthought in our relationships.
We are too tired, too busy or simply not “in the mood”. Then before you know it, it’s been days… weeks… even months since you last connected with your partner sexually. This can impact your relationship in ways you don’t even realize. If you think you are alone, trust me, you aren’t. Read, THIS POST, for example. When Cincinnati Moms Blog first partnered with Your Wellness Center a few months ago, we polled local moms, the overwhelming response was that many were feeling that loss of vitality.
So, what if the low libido you or your partner (or both!) are feeling has a health reason behind it? What if you aren’t just tired and busy? What if you are, in fact, hormonally imbalanced?
According to our partners at Your Wellness Center, it is not uncommon for men AND women to lose their libido as a result of a deficiency in certain hormones which are known to impact our sex drive.
If you and/or your partner are suffering from low libido, contact Your Wellness Center for a consultation. Setting up the initial consultation is easy. Just fill out this form (on your desktop or laptop, (not mobile) to ensure proper submission). The first step is blood work which can be done easily at their office or through Labcorp. If your blood work comes back normal, you never even have to go in for a appointment.
