The Summit Country Day School
Serving children 18 months - 6 years
The Summit Preschool is the only independent school in our area offering a full Montessori preschool experience and one of only a few who are applying the Montessori philosophy in an educational program that starts at 18 months! Whether you are interested in half-day or full-day, there are multiple options, including academic enrichment programs.

The Summit Montessori Program
The toddler curriculum addresses the three primary developmental needs for a child under age 3 – movement, language and order – and provides objects, relationships and an environment which fulfill the toddler’s innate compulsion to learn. Learning is self-directed and supported in each classroom by university-trained Montessori curriculum experts.
Classrooms are designed with Montessori teaching methods in mind, with area for large circles and separate independent work areas that include manipulative materials that promote cognitive development. The Montessori also has gym equipment specifically designed to stimulate fine and gross motor skills and many opportunities for outdoor learning and play on walk-out classroom patios, an outdoor playground, a rooftop playground naturescape, a dedicated Outdoor Learning Space and the Leibold Pond.
As children advance through the toddler program they move seamlessly into the Pre-K and Kindergarten Montessori program, which continues development of confidence and enabling them to face new challenges as they grow.
18 - 24 Month Program

24 - 36 Month Program

Children's Learning Adventure
Children’s Learning Adventure (CLA) offers the highest-quality infant, toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarten, before and after school, holiday and summer camp programs for ages six weeks to 12 years old. Children’s Learning Adventure’s STEAM-based curriculum ensures daily exposure to science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics through a multiple learning environments approach. In addition to a primary homeroom, CLA provides daily small group instruction in specialty classrooms to provide authentic learning activities. Students will apply the knowledge they learned in homeroom in specialty classrooms, such as practicing math skills by measuring ingredients in a culinary class.

The Primrose School of Symmes provides the best in early childhood learning for infants through private full day kindergarten as well as afterschool programming through age 12. Children’s Meeting House Montessori School has been guiding children in their education socially, emotionally and academically for over 45 years. The New School Montessori
For 46 years, The New School Montessori has been leading the way as a model for Montessori methodology and philosophy and is Cincinnati’s only Montessori school accredited by the American Montessori Society. TNSM embraces diversity – valuing differences in race, culture, family, and thought. Their kitchen staff, led by the former chef of a downtown café, prepares made-from-scratch, hot, nutritious lunches every day with many vegetarian options.

Montessori Center Room
Founded in 1966, Montessori Center Room respects the whole child and puts the child’s best interest at the heart of everything we do. MCR is equipped fully with the Montessori materials of daily living, sensorial, math, language, art science and geography, as well as many supplemental activities, including large-muscle activity in our indoor gym, field trips and School House Symphony. As their first school experience, we want children to leave MCR with a love of learning, a respect for others, and respect for the environment and the classroom. Our Teachers hold, at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree and are fully trained and certified in the Montessori philosophy and curriculum. We strive to enroll children from all socio-economic backgrounds and provide Tuition Assistance for all families with a demonstrated financial need.
Children who are 3 years old and fully toilet-trained may be enrolled.

The Children's House
The Children’s House is a Pre-School – Daycare – Kindergarten concept started over 20 years ago to serve the needs of Greater Cincinnati families looking for quality care with an educational focus. We employ a mix of traditional and Montessori methods to teach children language, math, science, art, music and movement and geography.
