Last Friday evening, several Cincinnati mamas took a much needed break from their little loves and joined us for a relaxing evening out at Mio Vino Micro Winery. Mio Vino is a charming little establishment which manufactures and bottles their own wines. On this particular evening, the Sauvignon Blanc was strongly recommended by the staff and it did not disappoint. Each mama was greeted at the door with a free drink ticket and the chance to win a fun giveaway from Pinot’s Palette in Liberty Township. Our winner went home with two session certificates to enjoy a future night of painting and wine/beer with a friend of her choosing. (Side note, we HIGHLY recommend Pinot’s Palette as a ladies night destination.
Guests sipped wine, chatted and indulged in some delicious cookies, designed by Sugar Rush-Cakes and Cookies. The mom behind the cookies is supremely talented and a must add to your list of “go-to”s for all of those birthdays, holidays and special events that are inevitably going to pop up in your life. Her treats are scrumptious and the designs are some of the best we have ever seen. (She does cakes too!!)
After unwinding for a bit, the moms in attendance got to try their hands at bottling wine. Mio Vino brewed a black raspberry Merlot just for our group and each one of us got to fill, cork, seal and label a bottle of wine. There are still a few bottles of this special CMB batch of wine left over for sale at Mio Vino along with several of their other creations. The husband and wife team behind this micro winery not only do all of their own wine “designs”, but they also collaborate on all of the artwork for the labels.
The rest of the evening was spent listening to some good music, enjoying some great conversation with new (and old) friends and of course, drinking even more wine. We think it is safe to say that those in attendance had a great evening. Everyone left with smiles on their faces and a swag bag from the following sponsors:
