I am Cincinnati born and raised and after briefly moving to Boston for college, I am thrilled to be back and raising my kids in the city that has always been my home. I am Mom to two beautiful, sassy, extroverted (didn’t get that from me) little girls; Nora (7) & Meredith (6). It was only after becoming a mother that I really started to appreciate how lucky we are to live in this city, surrounded by amazing green space, culture, history, sports and the arts. We have access to just about everything a family could want. I love using all aspects of Cincinnati as a playground for my kids and myself. I also love photography, sea turtles and my job as a child life specialist. I am thrilled to be a part of bringing this resource to amazing moms in an amazing city.

Follow. Lead. Develop. Design. Write. I do all of those things here in Cincinnati because it has everything I love: busy city, quiet country, great food, sports teams that break my heart (and sometimes make my day), unique fun, and the people who matter the most to me. I am mama to two kiddos and there are two things I know: parenting is hard and parenting is holy. It’s power and helplessness. It’s exhausting and exhilarating. And in between all of those extremes are lessons, about our kids and about ourselves. It’s my pleasure to capture some of those and share them here.

After growing up in Northeastern PA, I moved here in July 2005 not knowing what to expect from this “little” city in the Midwest. Today, I am proud to call Cincinnati my home, and where my husband and I choose to raise our family. The access to amazing concerts, museums, restaurants and major sporting events is not something my family could as easily or as affordably obtain “back East.”. After the birth of my daughter, Elise (2), my priority was to scale back my career in finance to spend more time with her and experience what our city has to offer through her eyes. I am thrilled to be a part of CMB and this inspiring group of women who so passionately connect our city with our families.

After growing up in Cincinnati and graduating from Miami University, I was ready for a change and branched out to the southwest. I soon discovered not much is better than this great city and I couldn’t be happier to be back living in Loveland with my husband and our two fun-loving boys. I’m always up for trying something new and can’t stop exploring the treasures in our city. I am excited to work with our sponsors and further support this fantastic resource for us moms. Cheers!

I grew up in a very small town in southern Kentucky but have lived in Cincinnati for the last 13 years! Who says you cant have roots and wings? I love my southern roots but Cincinnati has so much to offer right in our back yard! My family currently lives on the west side of the city, which I am told is the “best side”. However, since I am not originally from Cincinnati I feel like I am able to see the beauty that is offered from all sides of the city. Cincinnati offers my children and my family opportunities that “back home” could never offer and for that, I am grateful. In my spare time you will find me doing anything and everything outdoors! I love collecting experiences and not “things” even though I am a sucker for antiques. Lastly, I am so excited to be on the CMB team!

I am a native Cincinnatian and thanks to a lot of moving, I know this city pretty well. I grew up on the Westside, attended Walnut Hills High School, and then headed to Oxford for an education degree at Miami University. After a few years in Hyde Park, my husband and I are settled in Northern Kentucky for the time being. One of the great things about the Cincinnati area is the abundance of wonderful neighborhoods, schools and family friendly activities! My husband, Andrew, and I have a son, Aiden and our baby girl, Audrey. We didn’t exactly plan all of the “A” names, but it allows us to keep our family nickname – the A-Team. I am an elementary school teacher, but am on a leave of absence right now to be home with my kids. My days are filled with entertaining my babies, taking way too many pictures on my phone and changing a lot of diapers. Thanks to recent open-heart surgery, I have an aortic valve that ticks (like a clock!), I have ornithophobia (Google it) and I broke my hip when I was 18 (I will never ice skate again). But, I do love photography on my “real” camera, pretending I’m a good enough chef to have my own cooking show and playing outside. I turned to writing/blogging in order to document my family’s journey to better health and as motivation to keep myself on track. You can read more about my personal journey at www.limkelife.blogspot.com. I look forward to sharing the adventure of motherhood with you!

I am a midwest and Cincinnati transplant, currently living in Lebanon after moving all across the US as a child. My husband and I planted our roots here after college, and strengthened those roots once we started having children. We have been married for 7 years, and our children keep us busy at the ages of 6, 3, and 1. The five of us spend our weekends exploring the parks and museums in the city, and then hitting the library so we can snuggle in with some good books at home. By night I am a certified birth doula and childbirth educator who believes that every birth deserves support. My passion is providing unbiased and experienced support to growing families, whether they are trying to achieve an unmedicated birth, want an epidural, or are planning a cesarean. I blog about all things pregnancy, birth, and parenting in Cincinnati at my website, Tender Beginnings LLC, and can also be found on Facebook.

I grew up in a small town in Southeastern Ohio where my grandfather opened Wilson’s Studio, which my father eventually took over. I attended Ohio University (yes, that’s one of the highest ranking party schools in the nation) where I studied Commercial Photography. After graduation in 2010 from said ‘party school’ my husband and I moved to Utah. We enjoyed six lovely years there, granting us two little girls and some of my greatest memories to date. More recently, my husband was offered a position in Cincinnati, and we couldn’t pass it up. We knew how much it would mean to the (now) grandparents and our girls. After deciding to make the move back to the Buckeye State, we set up shop in Liberty Township and couldn’t be happier with the place we now call home. Don’t get me wrong, being a full time mom and entrepreneur isn’t a walk in the park, but it’s one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve had yet.
In college, I never dreamed I’d ever want to be the “family photographer”, I wanted to shoot more on the commercial end, and help market companies. After becoming a mom, and seeing how much joy a photograph can mean to someone I decided I wanted to dabble in both areas. I love watching other businesses thrive with my help, as well as watching families grow over the years.
